Things like screen lock you can’t opened, or problems syncing music – things might start working again after a fresh start.

Even though restoring an ipod to factory setting would erase all the content on it, don’t worry. You can easily sync anything you want from your itunes. However, any settings you had changed on the ipod will be reset.

So here’s how restore an ipod to its factory settings:

You can easily do it by following the “How to update your iPod software” section in our iTunes video guides.

Or follow this actions:

  1. Connect your ipod to the computer, and make sure the internet connection is on.
  2. In iTunes, select your ipod from the device list.
  3. Select the “summary” tab.
  4. Click “restore”.
  5. itunes will download the ipod software (this might be a big file, so it may take a while! please wait patiently) and install it on your ipod.

If sync doesn’t start automatically, sync your ipod manually, and you are ready to go!

apple ipod help http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/apple-ipod-help/ http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/apple-ipod-help/#comments Sun, 06 Jan 2008 13:25:36 +0000 ipod manual dude http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/apple-ipod-help/ I’ve searched around Google and Yahoo answers for the term “apple ipod help” – and guess what? There are so many people out there looking for more information about how to use thier ipods.

It goes down to this: using ipods is not easy for everyone! using itune is not easy for everyone.

I’m not talking about people who are used to working with gadgets and computers. Just think about all the “regular” people who just want to enjoy their new ipod and their music.

What these people might find handy – are you one of them? – is some good quality, fully detailed and easily understood apple ipod help, in the form of a manual, tutorial or even video guides.

It’s a simple question of whether this information helps you setup and enjoy your ipod today and now. How easy is it to follow? Is it updated? Does it assume you are familiar with ipods before, or is it targeted to your level? So the next time you are searching for apple ipod help, think about it, and good luck!

Restoring the iPod’s Factory Settings http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/restoring-the-ipods-factory-settings/ http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/restoring-the-ipods-factory-settings/#comments Sat, 05 Jan 2008 22:08:52 +0000 ipod manual dude http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/restoring-the-ipods-factory-settings/ Sometimes things just stop working! I know, this could get really annoying, but it’s important to know that when everything else fails (reseting, refreshing, and so on), your last resort it to restore your ipod to its factory settings.

But it is VERY IMPORTANT to remember. Restoring your ipod will ERASE all the content you have on your ipod! So make sure it is well backed up in iTunes, and that you can sync all of it once the ipod is restored.

Restoring the ipod’s factory settings is very similiar to updating the ipod’s software and done from the same window. Check out the updating software step-by-step video for more instructions.

ipod for dummies http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/ipod-for-dummies/ http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/ipod-for-dummies/#comments Mon, 29 Oct 2007 13:15:27 +0000 ipod manual dude http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/ipod-for-dummies/ If you are an ipod beginner, ipod first-timer, looking for ipod for dummies information and you’re proud of it – you’ve come to the right place!

Whoever came up with the ipod and itunes software didn’t realize there are many people who do not find it easy to use these things. There are many websites and ipod-for-experts stuff out there. It’s time we have some ipod-for-dummies things as well!

So what should ipod-for-dummies information include?

First of all: simple, straight-forward and detailed instructions on how to download and install itunes. And when I say simple and detailded – I mean it! You should actually see how to do it, and not just read about it.

How to sync (that means copy in “dummy” language) music and videos from itunes to your ipod. The “experts” might know how find all those hidden advanced checkboxes, but ipod for dummies information should make you click as few times as possible!

And last – how to operate your ipod. Are you a dummy? I say good for you! Here’s how to play music, watch videos and enjoy your ipod. Do you really want to know about every single boring settings and option??? maybe later… not now!

Don’t forget, ipod manuals are for YOU, not for the ipod experts. If you are looking for an ipod for dummies manual, like these video guides, make sure they match your level, so you can make the most out of them.

How to Use iTunes http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/how-to-use-itunes/ http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/how-to-use-itunes/#comments Tue, 09 Oct 2007 14:00:21 +0000 ipod manual dude http://www.ipod-manual.com/instructions/how-to-use-itunes/ I couldn’t believe it at first, but turns out “how to use itunes” is a very popular question! Before I actually started using it, it seemed to me that ipods are very easy to operate. But after I played with iTunes a bit, I realized it is not necessarily so.

I think a lot of people, who are not custom to work with computers, are quite surprised by the fact that they need itunes in order to manage their ipod. Thus making how to use itunes a critical issue for them. And lets face it: itunes is not an easy software for everyone.

Don’t take my word for it. I’ve googled “itunes” and “difficult to use” and got 73,700 answers! It is truly a common problem shared by a lot of people. This guy on yahoo answers was telling he couldn’t find an easy way to mark more than one song to be played in a row. Wouldn’t you expect this to one of the more easiest tasks?!?! something like how to use itunes in the most basic way?

The sad thing is that some people won’t ask how to use itunes, they’ll just give up! And that’s just a shame. All these people need are some good quality, super organized and detailed ipod instructions. The kind “normal-and-not-high-tech” people would understand. That would make a world of a difference between owning anipod and actually using and enjoying it.
