Locked out side you iPod and can’t get in? Forgot the combination to your ipod screen lock? There is a solution! Let’s see how to unlock your ipod so you can reuse it.

If you are lucky, all you need to do is to connect the ipod to your computer. If you’ve worked with itunes on this computer, the ipod should simply unlock itself.

Didn’t work? Well, restoring your ipod to its factory settings might be the only way for you to unlock your ipod. Even though restoring it would erase all the content, you can easily sync all of it from your itunes. However, any settings you had changed before will be reset.

I kinda like that little suspension and surprise when the next song starts to play.But regular shuffle is not enough. One of the coolest things newer ipods have is the “shake to shuffle” feature. It’s as easy as it sounds – shake the ipod to randomly get a new song:

If you think your ipod touch or ipod nano is too sensitive and jumps from song to song even when you don’t mean it, you can always disable the “shake to shuffle”:

  1. From the ipod’s home page go to Settings
  2. Go to Music
  3. Find “Shake to Shuffle” and turn it off.
