How nice is your husband. Great present.

Did you manage the music on his ipod via itunes? If not - you need to import all that music into your ipod, and then sync it to your ipod.

Hi Cassidy.

In order to change the ipod’s name, simply connect it to your computer.
Wait for it to appear on the itunes resource list (left pane of itunes).
And click on the ipod’s name - it becomes editable, so just change it.

The best way to make sure you have only the songs YOU love on YOUR ipod, the best way would be to automatically sync your content from itunes to your ipod.

If you are not sure how to do it (this might need a few configuration updates, because it was somebody else’s ipod), check the syncing section in our step-by-step ipod&itunes video guides.

Hi Michael.

This might help, worth trying out:
Use the “sound check” option.
You need to enable it in the iTunes Edit->Preferences Menu,
and in the ipod nano settings.

I got an i pod from a friend, and when i plug it in to charge it, it has Nicck’s i pod on it. How do i change it? it also has some of her songe no there that i dont like. Is there any way i can get them off?

When I try and use my Nano in my car, it works but on many of my itunes download - some transferred from cd to itunes, and others direct download - the volume only goes to an unacceptable level.

Hi Kenneth.

You can’t delete music directly from you ipod.
All the content on your ipod is controlled by itunes.

There might be other ways, but they are not as straight forward as using itunes.
If you have a problem installing or using itunes, I suggest you check our itunes video guides.

I think you’ll have to restore your ipod touch to its original factory settings.
We also have a video explaining how to that in full detail.

What a problem!

Well, first of all, the ipod should unlock itself automatically once connected to itunes.
Are you sure you are doing this correctly? It should really be very easy, you know…

i just got my ipod touch and the problem is that when i try to unlock my ipod by sliding my finger, it wont unlock. I’ve been sliding my finger on it so many times but it wont unlock. What am i going to do?

Hi Bob,

Any content you want to view on your ipod needs to go through:
1. Downloading it or placing it on your computer.
2. Set the ipod’s sync settings from itunes to your ipod to include the wanted content, and actually syncing it.
3. Viewing it using the ipod.

Same goes for photos. Place on the computer. Update the ipod’s sync settings to include them, sync, and watch using the “photos”" menu.
